I was in on Saturday and bought a few things including a couple of False Percs. I just wanted to know what you guys were feeding them so that I can include it in their meals. I've heard that it can take a couple of days for them to start eating but I thought if I can feed them what they're used to it might speed things along. Thanks.

We usually feed the newer fish Omega One Marine Flakes, one of the best flakes we have found and gets picky eaters eating. Long run though, i would highly recommend feeding all your fish Spectrum Pellet, it takes time to get fish to eat pellet, but once they are converted, you'll see much brighter colors and healthier fish. it's the only thing i feed my fish at home. I have yellow tang, blue hippo tang, perculas and orchid dottyback, all are fat and healthy on this food only!

Hey Jason, got the rock and pellets yesterday. I didn't realize how much rock rubble there was for 15lb (not complaining though). Also, you were right about the pellets, as soon as they hit the water the Percs were going after them, also the cleaner shrimp seemed to like them. Thanks for your help and quick response with my shipment.

Sorry to chime in, but how do the pellets compare to flake as far as adding unwanted nutrients, phosphates, etc?

I'm not sure on that question. I would imagine pellets would be less waste in your tank since flakes are very easily trapped in our overflows etc, where pellets usually will sink to the bottom and most fish will pick them up even in the sand, so should be less wasted food floating around.
