I can only answer a couple questions...

I am in the process of setting up for my first mating pair, then moving on to setting up several tanks.

From what I have read...

A.Occelarius or false Percula is a great first pair to work with, they will breed damn near any where for any reason, and the larvae are one of the easier to raise.

Lighting, well, as just fish, you need flourescents. If you plan to make thier home as close to a true habitat as you can then your lighting needs will be based on what you use.
With live rock, and perhaps a soft coral like mushrooms for a host then you can most likely get away with power compacts.
If you choose to use an anemone, or a LPS coral as a host, then you might be able to pass with PC's but may want to consider halides ot T5's.

From what I have looked at flourescents and PC's have been the most common, and most people I have talked to diestly use either fake anemone, or real anemones, and some use a nice soft coral, like a leather, or mushroom.

It was also suggested to me that around the time they are taking brine, you could use a filter with the sponge like cover on the pick up, like a pond filter uses. I guess it makes the current sparse enough that the fish can free them selves if they are healthy.

best book I have found, I read like three others first, and got a little info from each one, this book gave me everything the other three books did in one shot.
