I recently set up a 5 gallon nano reef tank. After I had let it mature enough for fish,I took my 1" flase percula clownfish from my 20 gallon and placed it in the 5 gallon. Now he will not stop trying to swim through the glass!!He does calm down after feeding ,but not for long.
He never acted like that in the 20 gallon.I also took him away from two other larger false percula clowns.

I'm thinking of buying a mate.Do you think that will help??
Any suggestions???Please?

I used Live rock/sand and water from my 20 gallon to set up my 5 gallon. There wasn't alot of cycling that had to be done(if any).Water parameters are pristine.water change once a week with distilled water. Not skimming(Hoping to pick up a fission skimmer soon)Water temp:78-80F

Thanks Alot!!!!

stress is why it want stop. the smaller tank and being alone after, more or less, bonding with other fish. you might put it back and get another for the 5g.
fission skimmer? i have on thats retired. dont waste your $$$. they are impossible to adjust and billions of micro bubbles. not a good design. (IMO) REEF-ON!!!

The only time he does tend to stop is during and after feeding.I had thought of the reflection being a variable...was not quite sure.

Hoping to buy another clown this friday.I will let you guys know if it works!!

Thank you very much for your input!!!(and advice on the skimmer)
