fan thermostat?

I am getting back into the hobby after a year or so out and I now have the 24 g aquapod with the 70 w mh. i have had some heat issues that was solved with a small fan blowing across the water, but dont want the fan running constantly. Is there some sort of thermostat or something that I can plug my fan into so that it only kicks on at a certain temperature. I am trying to keep the amount of evaporation to a minimum if possible, any ideas? Thanks in advance....

i put a rheostat on my fan to control the speed...

i'm sure you could find a small electrical thermostat but i don't if it's going to be ready to be plugged in.

you could even install a thermistor in the hood running in line with one side of the fans power supply... it would adjust the speed of the fan according to the temp under the hood.

Thanks for all the help, I just bought a 3" thermal controlled fan off ebay for $12, so maybe this will help. The speed of the fan is supposed to speed up as the temp goes up and slow as it cools. It has an a/c adapter, now I just need to find a way to keep it from running constantly. I guess I could get a timer or something and have it run every couple hours or so if thats possible.

If you had a digital time with mutliple programs, you would be set! Or, if you are running a wave maker, you can always plug it into your wavemaker.

i may not need a fan after all. over the weekend i got a hydor flo wavemaker and since then my temps have been steady at about 80 with the lights on for 8 hours or so. i have it connected to my return, mj 1200, so as it turns the current breaks the surface of the water pretty good. i guess this causes the heat to escape and allows cold air along with oxygen into the water. hopefully this will be all i need, i wasnt looking forward to all the evaporation that was going to come from adding a fan to the mix.
