Fan Upgrade

Does anyone have experience in changing fans. I have JBJ 12 gallon. It is 2 weeks old and one of the fans is a little noisy when first turned on. Plus I am running a little hot with the Max. 1200.

Where can I purchase the upgraded fans from. If anyone has done it, please let me know if you are happy with the results.

I forget the exact size of the fans but I believe they are 60mm x 15mm. But I will say that just switching one of the fans to blow in the opposite direction will have a huge impact on heat. I have a 70w MH in my hood on my 24g JBJ and switched the direction of one of the fans and it never climbs above 80.1

i reversed one fan and replaced 1 fan with a blower

cut the metal reflector for better air flow . blower does not match up to hood round vent so i cut a 1/2 by 8 inch piece of cardboard and glued it around the hole. then hot glued (glue gun) the blower to the cardboard ring. b;lows in towards lamps.

Light is way cooler was 82 deg and now running at 77 . i can tell the air is now coming out sides of thwe hood exhausting heat closer to source instead of drawing it through entire hood!! the fan lights up also and glows blue. Amr running off the stock power supply.

I spoke with a guy at Transworld Aquatics. They took over JBJ. He did like the sound of the reversal. He says the reason for the two fans is not just cooling but to keep moisture out.
