All 3 fans in my tek light T5 High output fixture stopped working.Their is power to from plug to where you plug into fixture. Any ideas

if its just a small computer fan like pictured below, they are usually plug and play/ simple enough to replace. can get them on ebay or radioshack.

I had to back up fans and tried them same thing they didn't go on. Trying to find out if there is something in the light between the fans and the plug. Thanks for trying to help

I talked to the people who use to make the TEK light and they told me in all probability the problem is the power source is not putting out enough power to turn on the fans or the connection to all 3 fans is no good. I can't seem to find the power source on line it is
AC power adapter model MTP051UL-120050.
Does anyone have any ideas. I went to Radio shack and they didn't have it

Hi Matt

How about this link

Matt i punched that number into google and it brought up that website that Andy linked. It appears to be a 12vdc .5-(500ma) adapter. You can probably find one on ebay for a few bucks.

You can buy different cord ends at radio shack to suit your needs.
Or cut your adapter cord and use whats already there.
Or look a little more on ebay for an exact match.

That's what I did with my cooling fan. I took an exhaust fan from an old computer and striped the ends of the wires. I then took an old cell phone charger, much like the one pictured and cut off the plug that goes into the phone. I stripped those wires down and then spliced them with the computer fan wires.

The little 3" fan is now velcroed to the top of my tank and programmed into my APEX and activates when my tank gets too hot.
