Fantastic Coral Addition to My Caribbean Tank!

I had a great experience with Richard.
This was my first time picking something up from Air Cargo and I was a little nervous. My carrier was Southwest and they were wonderful. Easier than picking stuff up at the post office.
Everything arrived in great shape and no problems at all.
The coral on the rock is fantastic.
I am attaching a picture here of one coral as an example.

Here's the coral right out of the shipping box:

and here is the same coral in the tank starting to open up with pretty bright green centers:

Great picture, I love the green...is florescent under the light....

I have as you know been putting off the harvest of the 'coral rock' as it is on the other side of the five acre lease, and getting there is the wintertime is tough, as the older i get the less I like the cold water but summertime is here thank goodness and I had a few orders for the corals and harvested it Monday for you.

These rocks with the coral are all very small, usually the coral is almost as big as the rock, but is a neat addition to tanks, as corals from Florida are illegal, except for aquacultured live rock that has them attached.

And Southwest is the BEST....at what they do....that rock was packed yesterday dropped off at the airline at 10:31 in the morning and you picked it up at 6:19 pm in San Antonio Texas, I call that fast!

Keep the pics coming!

Wow congrats euromomtx ................ nice! Gorgious piece Richard, hope to get some similar items when I order. Will start constructing my stand starting tomorrow, hope to have the tank on it by the weekend, then I can finally start plumbing it.

I still have lots in quarantine but the pieces I have moved over seem to be perking up already (even though I probably overdid it with the dipping).

Here's a few more pics:

(I didn't have enough room for the rocks so I took the corals off and attached them to my own rock and the rock that came with them is used as refugium rock by a friend)

What size tank do you have and how much rock did you order from Richard? Those are some nice pictures.

oh and the little oculina coral likes to eat! I just fed it some mysis and the polyps were able to eat whole mysis

I told you Richard was the guy to hook you up.
Yes you did. Thanks! :)

Really makes me get the urge to start a nano just dedicated to the rock, not add anything else and just see what grows and what critters come out of it! lol

I would say in my shipment I got:

1) majority tube corals
2) some oculina
3) some encrusting types (star coral I guess)

Would have loved a rose coral but didn't find one on my rocks. I am just glad everything is so happy, feelers out and munching away

okay just one last picture of the oculina (because I like those the best and they are so happy to get a little snack...)
