fat coral cat

I have a coralcat have had him about 2 yrs now somebody gave me he was small when i got him he is now about 5 inches in the last few weeks its stomach has gotten huge looks like its going to explode has also had a piece of orange hanging out of its a$$ was looking at it closer tonight looks like i can see alot of small rounded spots pushing against its belly any ideas ? could it be eggs i only have one coralcat

Two things come to mind: ascites (fluid build-up) along with a prolapsed anus or as you thought, eggs. 40 years ago, a friend of mine had a 6" long coral cat that released unfertilized eggs in his tank....they won't hatch of course.
