From what I can tell, it looks like mine when she's holding eggs. Congrats! (maybe)...
Looks like she is holding eggs.
Yeah that was my plan for 30 bucks the starter kit seems a good deal and I can get it at a local fish store along with the TDO so that's my plan. Probably won't get a crack at the first batch. Still getting everything set up.They usually lay about every 12-14 days. She probably about 6 days out. They usuall y start cleaning a spot a couple days ahead of time. When it time they will aggressively clean , Almost like they are biting the spot they want to lay. they should lay late that afternoon. I just watched 2 of my pair do this just today. I spend hours just watching the behavior. I can usually tell a couple days in advance when they will go. Good luck.
get those rotifers ready. I get RG Complete from AP Breed. then you don't have to mess with Phyto.
Most experienced breeders recommend letting the first few batches go. It gives the pair time to get better at laying and tending to the eggs.

I was just going to say that but new first time breeders are to excited to let them go. So I say go for it. You got nothing to lose. You will need practice keeping those rots alive anyway
