fathead sunburst anthias - too wimpy for tank?

65g Ritteri Tank
I want to add one this fish to my tank, I currently have a flame angel, a purple tang, melanurus wrasse and a pair of onyx perculas.

Will this fish get beat up too much for its liking? I read that they don't do well with medium tempered fish.

If this fish is not suitable, would a bartlett's be fine?

I'd be willing to take the wrasse out if need be.

I got mine in a 75 gallon tank with a Majestic Angel, Purple Tang, 4 Lyretail Anthias, Mystery Wrasse, Midas Blenny, and True Percula. The only fish that really messed with it was the male Lyretail Anthias and maybe the Midas Blenny. This happened as soon as I put the Sunburst in the tank, but went away after a week or so. Eats like a pig. I QT'ed it for 4 weeks first to make sure it was eating well and treated it with Prazipro. I made sure that before I bought one, it was healthy at the LFS and was eating well. Should be fine with your stocklist. I would just worry about your Purple Tang, if anything because they are pretty mean. But mine didn't mess with it. Good luck.

Usually, they are very shy when you first introduce them to the tank. The other fishes that you list shouldn't be a problem .You may want to make sure the fathead is actually eating and is healthy before adding in your tank.

Also, make sure to QT it. Anthias are fluke magnets.

I dont have a QT, so then I'll have to buy one from LiveAquaria..their divers den fish are all QT'd. I'd feel safe adding one their fish directly to my display.

I had a group of them. They are very cool. Always out and about but eat ALOT. And they can be in perfect health one day and be dead the next. I was lucky and bought mine at store cost for $25. The cheapest online ive seen was $50 They get around 4-5". Probably get tougher as they age

I QT all my fish added to my display tank. I have been thinking of purchasing a Sunburst Anthias. I also treat all my new fish with Prazipro in my QT tanks, but was wondering what you had fed your Sunburst. I have ready many reviews saying they are hard to feed. What did you feed it? Thanks.
