Fatten up a Kole Tang. Thoughts?

I have a new Kole Tang. It has been in QT since Oct 3. It came in thin and is still thin. I use NLS Thera A pellets. Also feed seaweed sheets. It eats although not as ravenous as the blue tang that is in with it.

Is there anything I can do to fatten it up? It doesn't look unhealthy, just doesn't look as healthy as all the other fish.

Could I be overlooking internal parasites? I do have NLS Hex Shield, PraziPro and other meds on hand.

It is in copper with a blue tang at the moment.

I have been feeding easy reef masstick in my tank. My kole eye goes crazy for it. Good food for picky eaters

Kole's are grazers and detritivores. None of mine (including chevies) ever really took to the nori and were hit or miss with frozen or pellets - but they constantly graze the Rock and the glass. Get though the copper and then add in some rock with algae on it.

Ive been trying to fatten my sailfin. Ive been using herbivore pellets soaked in fish oil (cut open a Costco brand capsule). He seems to be fattening up but it might be me feeding way more. But I think this helps the all the tankmates.

Mine went nuts for LRS Reef Frenzy, but as ca1ore said, it was constantly picking at the rock and the back wall of the tank too. I only had it for a few months (traded it to a bigger home) but it got noticeably fatter in that time.

They can be shy feeders initially. When mine was in quarantine, I'd have to go about 10 feet away before would come out to feed so while I can't rule out a problem my best guess would be just give it time.

If you have glass or acrylic pane that you can leave alone that would be a natural source of grazing area. That is, if the location isn't distracting to you and it is out of the way. Others mentioned it but they are constant grazers, always at it. Depending on the tank size, and other grazing fish it could be that it is too clean.

Ignoring a pane of the tank provides that go-to spot for drive by feeding :) Could also leave a rock in your sump alone then place in display and rotate has needed.
