Nope! I've had him for a while and no issues whatsoever. I looked with a flashlight and didn't see anything cracking around in there. Sure hope it's not a parasite. :(

My blenny had the santa claus thing on too, lol - It didn't end well. He was one of my favorites

Santa clause lol and sad

Yup only one blenny. Hope he survives and it isn't bad. He's an awesome pouty fish

i've seen lots of big belly blenny pics. i would stop feeding before his belly got that big personally. sorry about the blenny. what can you tell us about what led up to this?

Sorry for the delay. Got married haha

Dunno exactly what happened. I was spot feeding the other fish when I noticed his belly. Got huge out of nowhere. C'est la vie!

Saw that. Didn't have a blister. Just the bloating. I've been dripping some garlic on the food every day. The other fish are perfectly fine and no issues

I have a male/female pair of Ecsenius Ops. The female often develops a large round belly; I assumed it was eggs inside. Had them for several months; no signs of poor health yet.

I had a yellow wrasse female and male. After having both for 4 months the female developed a large stomach. I thought it was a stomach virus, but after 3 months she was still eating and acting normally. I have never heard of a fish lasting that long with this ailment, so I thought she was pregnant. Finally after 3.5 months she was breathing heavy under a rock. The male wrasse was surprisingly agitated, throwing sand around and hitting his body against the rock she was under but on the other side. She died that day. She was slightly red around the anus when she died.
