Looking to add a new coral to my 25 gallon nano. I am torn between a favia or a donut coral. The tank has nothing in it right now, but will soon have a Royal Gramma and a small blennie. Any thoughts or input?
Doughnut corals will become very large, very fast. I would suggest a favia. because they tend to grow slower and will take up less real estate in a small tank.
Agreed doughnuts will inflate but favias can also be very aggressive with long sweepers and since they encrust, you need consider other corals if you glue one to your main rock work.
Both are good choices! I'd probably lean towards the favia:thumbsup:
