I bought a Favia a few days ago, and it was all green, about a 4 inch round shape. The very top is stone but the green is growing back into the stone (or so I am told.) It was kept under MH lighting.
Now I have it in a 75 with 6 T5s, bu I notice that now the favia has a bit of tan translucency to a partt of a couple of polyps. Is this just a reaction to being moved, a change of lighting? It is in bright light near, but not on, the bottom of a 75 gallon tank.
The only other non frag coral I have is a plate and it is doing awesome. I have some montipora digitata that is really prospering. The water parameters are good.
