Hey guys!

I purchased this Favia from a LFS roughly 2 months ago. Within the last month it has had some serious tissue loss. I am going to attempt to rescue the coral but would love the help of you guys here on RC.

Here is a picture when I first got it, and a picture as it stands today. All my other LPS are doing well in the tank. My water params are good but this is the only one that is seeing failure.

Thanks guys! Hope to get this coral back to life!

i also have an under appreciated favia not doing so well in my tank i will tag along to see the best way to bring her back to glory...mine certainly looks skinny but no tissue loss yet...it doesnt inflate anymore when i try to feed it in a cup of marine feast. wondering if it isnt getting enough light...

Well, I put it under a nice shaded area and I've tried to entice it to eat, but not much of a response. Does anyone have any pointers? I can't be the only one this has happened to.

interesting you say you put yours in a shaded area...i just put mine in a lot brighter area and it fluffed right up, filiments came out and fed it...

Hmmm, that is interesting. I've been doing a little reading and most of the people recommend less lighting, but this is why I made this thread.
Thanks for the input!
