Favia vs. Goniastrea

Hi All,

Since these two corals are so similar, would they leave each other alone if they were directly next to each other in a tank or will they sting each other?

Or what if I put two favia's of different colors next to each other so they grow together like you would with different encrusting monti's or chalice's?

I am not a favia expert. But I put 2 frags of different favia next to each other and one did string the other
