What ever species I am feeding to my Mantis.

Which makes me think my favorite mantis is whichever I can feed to my puffer.

I have a group of 4 Blue Green Reef Chromis. They used to be a group of 7, but whittled themselves down to 4, where they have stayed now for several months.

My yellowtail damsel is by far the most peaceful fish in my reef. Definitely a must-have for damsel fans. I also love humbugs & dominos but I know they are very aggressive in adulthood.

Talbot's damsels are my favourite. More peaceful than chromis, and they stay very small - I've had mine for a long time and it appears she's pretty well full grown at about 2" including her tail. She's a funny little fish - she'll move things much larger than herself (rock rubble, shells) if she doesn't like where they are, and does her best to keep the other fish out of her chosen spot, but with the Lamarck's angel or YT it's like watching a Chihuahua trying to guard a bone from a Great Dane. She's reluctant to back down, but eventually does; she never goes into biting/attacking mode like other damsels will.

"Did you know that clowns are actually damsels too?"

Wow more absolutely incorrect information from such a knowledgeable fish keeper. I'm shocked..

Actually Clown fish are NOT actually Damsels. They are in the same genus which makes them more like cousins.

But, real nice try.

You know, I may have let your snotty attitude pass, had you actually been correct...

They are not in the same genus (clowns being Amphiprion....or Premnas)....

They are all in the family Pomacentridae.

What's with the 'tude?

newkid630 stalks every one of my posts and tries to prove what I say wrong or call me an idiot. Im reporting him, he's a total creeper who hates people

Wow thats a pretty nice damsel, I havent seen one yet around here. I am guessing its better than a yellow tail? My yellow tail gets punked by my clowns lol and I thought the damsel would punk them. The 6line also punks it.

Back on topic.

Talbots or jewels. Anyone ever kept those Pink Smiths?

I've never kept marginates before but I was looking into getting some and have found a lot of conflicting reports about their level of aggression....some say very bad, some say not bad. Steve Weast has a dozen and describes them as wimpy.:D

...it could be that all-world 850 gallon paradise they're living in that has his damsels cooled out though;)

I've heard the same...I usually worry that people are just generalizing for the whole genus....
