For fish I like Steve in north Aurora, very nice selection of fish. For coral I like beefy.
Sea escapes in elgin has come a long way on coral. Check them out if you have not been there in the last two months. .

I have to agree on Sea Escapes. Really have upgraded their store. Beautiful new frag tank is worth the trip.

I was at sea escapes about 3 weeks ago. I like it a lot, the kid there is pretty knowledgeable and they all seem friendly.

Sea Escapes has greatly improved their coral selection, coral health, and has tons of frags. I've been in there a couple times this past week. I came away with nothing. Some tanks have fish and corals that are not for sale even though they are easily accessible. I typically despise this in a lfs. Also prices are pretty high. Best places are ReefWise, AquaPros, Reef Plus, and Beefys. Brian, Dave, Steve, and Beefy are great guys that care about the livestock and customers.

Windy city reefs is more online but you can buy in person and there's two locations in the area. There still kinda new but if u follow them they will be growing very fast

I like Dave at AQUAPROS, just wish he'd take his shop to the next level. I live so close I'd be there more frequently if my hit rate was a little higher when I'm there. He's building the business so I respect that.

yea its for sure a work in progress. I always run in like 5 mins after he post to online so by the time some people get there im sure there bummed out

I know this might be a hard question to answer. What store has the biggest/best selection of inverts? I need to work on my CUC. I only have 3 peppermint shrimp.

I would say ..., but they closed for no good reason. So now I would say Sho Tanks in Mundaline.

I would go to Xzotic Aquatic in WoodDale. The inverts are the cheapest around...

The only bad thing about this place is one of the owners is a Packers fan. (just kidding) allways fun to rib each other when I go there.
