Whats your favorite fish to have in a fish only tank.

I think triggers, then angels, then tangs.....but my clown tang trumps the angels.

I like triggers and angels the best. Not a fan of tangs, I think they're stupid fish, or at least mine are. :lol: Puffers are nice too and so is the australian tusk.

So many to choose from....The Lionfish is probably my favorite...Then tangs, foxface, and the Coral Beauty.

navarchus/majestic angel and hawaiian 4 spot butterfly (C. quadrimaculatus) are my tops.

Angels, definitely number 1 on my list by far. They are smart and gorgeous fish. Wish they were reef safe so I didn't have to set up two tanks!

I like triggers, such intelligent fish and good looking too.

I've got a Sohal tang that is really growing on me as well, I like the way they move. I cant say it seems smart like the triggers, but it's pretty. Kind of the cheerleader of the fish world, whereas my triggers are the QB.

Somewhere in there I would throw angels too, I've only ever had one, a Emperor angel, but I really liked it. I've been thinking about putting a queen angel into my mix right now, but with some already established triggers I think that might be a bad idea.

Depending on the size of your triggers and the queen angel, it may work. Queen angels can hold there own, but if you really want a brute that will be ok in your tank for sure, get a passer angel. I think my passer could hand any fish, trigger or not its tail, if it was similarly sized. He is a monster and is in a tank by himself unfortunately due to this.

Yeah, I dont want a real monster of a fish, right now all my fish are living in harmony. That may not last, but I dont want to do anything that will purposefully throw a monkey wrench into it

Triggers are my favorite, very smart fish.

Definitely angels. Ear spot (chrysurus) , majestic (navarchus), blue face (xanthometapon), imperator. I hope to get a gold flake, personifier/meridithi and scribbled at some point. I had a Queen (holocanthus ciliaris) for a few wks, but she was way too aggressive so I sold her to one of my buddies.

Personally, my favorite FO fish are butterflies in angels. Since I discovered them in elementary school, I've been mesmerized by their beauty and elegance in form and movement. It's angels and butterflies that got me into the hobby.

Right now, though, I love my valentini puffer. I love his floating movements and the odd places where he sleeps at night--one night I found him sleeping upside-down under a 'bridge' rock in my tank. I would say he has the most personality of my FOWLR fish.

I love my angels and butterflies but the 2 fish that I enjoy the most when I walk up to the tank and they come out to greet me rather than to hide is the Bandit angel and Crosshatch trigger.

It's also tough to beat seeing all six Flameangels swimming in the open when I wake up in the morning.
