feather duster.. floating things

Has anyone ever noticed tiny coma shaped things float up from the middle of their hawian feather duster?? if so does anyone know what this is?

I currently live in Hawaii, and have a handful of wild Hawaiian feather dusters. The brown coma shaped object is their waste and is very normal.
I have found that at times they rid wasted 15-20 times in 15 minutes and then other times once in an hour
