feather duster question

I just noticed a small feather duster on one of my rocks---it is small like half an inch tall. It is very cool! How fast do they grow?? Do emerald crabs and reef hermits leave them alone?? Urchins??

I dont think that hermits eat feather dusters. I think they leave them alone. There are a bunch of little dusters in my tank and they are left alone by the hermits. There are also bigger hawaiian dusters in there and the hermits have left them alone.

I have the little tiny reef-type hermits, like blue legged, and zebra legged reef hermits.....I hope they leave it alone!!!

Maybe yall are right, or I had some mean hermits in my 55, or the worms were already suffering from my SeaClown skimmer back then. I just remember my hermits were always pickinig at my feathers. Go figure.
