feather duster stuck to the glass

Okay, I want to deepen the sand bed and up untill now it hasn't been a problem. When I moved the rock my feather duster was attached to I found that it has reattached to the bottom of the tank. Any suggestions on how to move it so that it doesn't get buried? The only idea I come up with is scaping under it with a razor blade, but I'm worried about injuring it.

try making an ice cube wit a tooth pick or other type of handle in it. Then when the ice cube is made use it to pry the feather duster loose from the tank
