Feather Duster - Where to Put?

I just got a Feather Duster worm - the tube is soft and flexible and attached to a small snail shell. I'm not sure where to put this guy. Are they happier stuck in a hole in the live rock or glued there or should they be down in the sand?

I placed mine in the sand and it's doing great.

They don't need light so it does'nt really matter.
They are filter feeders though so actually not the easiest animal to keep.
I got a duster cluster once years ago and have babies all over my 150 still but never had much luck with the bigger variety's for some reason.

I got 4 feather dusters, 2 of them which are always burried in the sand, they ve been there so long, theyve attatched themselves to the rocks and sand surrounding them.

That tells me they are comfortable there, only when I see them move from place to play, they arent happy where they are.

I set them in shady areas, underneath rocks, or far past where the current ends.

They just filter feed the phyto I feed the tank on a daily basis, sometimes I dont even feed them anything, and they are real savages I tell you

Thanks you all. I'll move him down to the sand. I noticed I put him too close to Mr. Blenny's hidey hole in the rock, and next thing I knew the Blenny grabbed the poor duster and shook him like a bull dog with a bone. I thought the wormy would be a goner, but he came out and spread his feathers like nothing happened.

Thanks for the compliments on my feather duster. He is well imbedded in the sand so must be quite happy.:)
