Feather Duster Worms HELP !!!!!

Hi all
We have just bought a father duster, but after a couple of days noticed it looks like it has shed it's skin (if they do that) or it's dead. How can I tell?
Can anyone help.

What exactly do you mean by "skin"? If you mean the crown that you see extending out of the tube, they will do that sometimes. It will grow back. If you mean its casing(or the tube), it maybe dead.
