feather dusters (non photosynthetic?)

i have a feather duster which seemed to be doing great for about 3 weeks but has recently been suffering. the actual feathers seem to be going limp and cant hold up theyre own weight. even in low low flow it seems to just flop over. however it is still retracting (coming in and out).

Any suggestions or recomendations? PLease shed some light.

ps all water parameters are stable and reasonable but i did just switch from cc to a dsb . (kept 20 % crushed coral in sumpto avoid any poss of recycle) in a 20g nano reef

It may be starving. Try dosing DT's Phytoplankton. I had a feather duster with no feathers come back and it lived for 3 years untill I sold it.
