I just bought a new tank and have a guestion about featherdusters.
My old tank is A DAS with a filterbox silaconed in the corner the entire inside of the filter box is covered with featherdusters along with the pole that holds the airstone for the protein skimmer.
I placed a couple pieces of liverock inside the box to try and get some of the featherdusters to spread to the rock but that was only a week ago when I started looking for a new tank and I immediately ran into a great deal on e-bay and I get the tank next saturday.
Is there a way to get these featherdusters to move to my new tank (I'll place the airstone holder in the newtank sump) Can I scrape them off with a razorblade and place them in the new tank where hopefully they'll reatach? Their between 1/2 and 1 inches long or any other suggestions or are they just a loss, wife says convert the old tank to freshwater to replace my sons 55 freshwater or get rid of it.
