Disaster Expert
This year we have a great lineup of speakers for NERAC, covering topics we haven't seen before, of interest to many of us. Having the experts come to us, the people who do this for a living, is a great opportunity for us all to learn something new and ask questions...
Today's feature is Dr. Sanjay Joshi
Dr. Sanjay Joshi in real life is a professor of Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering at Penn State University. He has been a reef addict since 1992, and currently keeps 3 reefs at home 55G, 60G and a 180G SPS dominated reef. He also co-manages the 500G aquarium at Penn State. He has published several articles in magazines such as Marine Fish and Reef Annual, Aquarium Frontiers, Aquarium Fish, and Advanced Aquarist. In addition he has been an invited speaker at several marine aquarium society meetings. A previous speaker at LIRA meetings (and collecting trip pal), his presentations have always attracted a large crowd.
This time out, Dr. Joshi will be speaking in depth about his 500g Reef Aquarium. He will present a case study of the tank build and the design philosophy, detailing the design with respect to the constraints of the tank site. He will also talk about what changes and improvements he made when constructing this tank, and why.
Anyone building a new tank system, contemplating one, or just dreaming of that big tank down the road is encouraged to attend!
Registration and conference info is available as always at www.neracli.com . Time is running out--March 10-11 is around the corner!
