FedEx: A Small Rant, If You Will.

I haven't ordered anything living yet... but I just moved from about 70 miles from Indianapolis. I never had particularly poor service with FedEx but.... I do remember being called by a UPS driver on more than one occasion to see if I was home so he could deliver the package on his way home to base.

Its totally got to be the location and pot luck as to what you get for local service.

Well gang, despite Fedex's best efforts, I'm happy to report that many of the corals look pretty fair-to-good this morning. In my 25+ year involvement in this hobby, I've never had to bring anything back from temperatures as low as I started with yesterday. The entire acclimation process took 15 hours, meaning I didn't get to bed last night until nearly 2:00 am. I certainly realize that I am not out of the woods by any means just yet but there are a few encouraging signs. These corals were mainly LPS and zoanthids, btw. I'm thinking I kind of caught a break in terms of hardiness there.

Okay, back to FedEx bashing and hash brown recipes now...G'night.
