Feed My Coral Mushrooms ??

I have 3 green stripe mushroom corals & a rock with about13-14 brown mushrooms. My LFS has me putting a liquid in the water as there food.

It is DT's live marine phytoplankton / 1/2 a tsp 2 times a week. Is this ok ? I only have a BioCube #14 - about 7-8 gallons of water after adding all the rock & stuff

I was told today not to use this food, leave the shrooms alone, they will be fine getting food on their own. this food will just screw your tank up.

Is this true ???.................Any Help Would Be Great

I wouldn't use phyto if your only coral is mushrooms. Mushrooms only need the light to survive. When you get a larger selection of coral, then you should consider using it.

Using phyto won't screw up your tank but it will add excess nutrients to the water.

you really dont need anything special for mushrooms, just keep up the maintance
