Feeding an anemone?

I tried feeding my new RBTA for the first time, I put a chunk of frozen brine shrimp in its tentacles, and it shriveled up into a ball. Is it supposed to shrivel up when you feed it?

Firstly, when feeding frozen food to non-arctic marine species, you must defrost the food first

Secondly, anemones need meaty food like marine fish, market shrimp, or krill.

Thirdly, that is too much food. Try to feed food that is less than a pencil eraser in size ... for a 4-6" anemone...
