I have a long tenacle that loves my clown and visa versa, but I never see the clown feed the anemone i try to spot feed the anemone and the clown becomes very upset and throws the food out!. so........I guess I should just stay out of it? and assume the anemone is being taken care of by the clown and by the feedings of dts plankton??
thnx fishfreak2407:)

How long have you had the long tentacle? I'm sure the clown is hosting it well if it's been around for a while. If it's new you might want to make sure the nem is getting enough food...just keep checking to make sure it's healthy and looks normal, then it is feeding on it's own and being nourished by the clown.

I personally feed my clown a lil mysis and while keeping her busy, I give my bta a 1/3 piece of a silverslide fish that I have defrosting in tank water. I use tongs and drop the silver slide in the anemones tenicles.. and then feed the fish a little more. The anemone should take the fish right away and push it towards its mouth. you can feed it every 3 days.. or less. but I do think its a good thing to feed it. my clown kinda feeds my bta.. but half the time she ends up eating it before the bta gets it to her mouth

Cyclop-Eeze works really well, and although spot feeeding is not necessary if you choose to do so I would be very careful about the size of any silverside or anything else that I fed it.

interesting, he has finally rooted in good spot and he looks good so he must be getting something:) .p.s he pooped yesterday, another good sign:D
