I just rebuilt my tank and its been going great, no mor bubble algae and i bout some medium sized anemone with long white tentacles and is it bad to feed it frozen krill?, because i just fed it two and it gobbled them straight up.

Also...i had a clown fish in there with some nasty thing on its eye so i got a pepperment shrimp to clean him up and, when i came back he was gone...to anemones ever eat clownfish?

Yep there are some. What kind of anemone is it? It sounds like a Condy and they have been known to eat clownfish.

Either that or your clown is hiding, jumped or died. Which could be a possiblity as there was something wrong with its eye.

i called my lfs up and we think because the clown was so tiny and hurt he might have eaten them...tomatoe clowns seem to be the only ones that can withstand their sting.

but on to the other question is it ok to be feeding the anemone frozen krill, and how often can/shoud I feed it so it will leave my other fish alone.

there are no other corals in my tank yet just because i wanted to see what this anemone would do first...i guess im going to try and get a 2 maroon or tomatoe clowns that are a little bit bigger and able to take a sting but before introducing and for the first few days just gorge the anemone on krill...

but still on to my question can i feed that anemone too much...and i guess any other suggestions u guys have would be awesome

As long as it's not still frozen when you give it to the anemone I don't see anything wrong with it. Thaw out small pieces in RO water and use feeding tongs to give it to the anemone.

Any anemone is capable of eating fish, it seems to be a crime of opportunity. If you want something for a clownfish to host, this anemone really should be returned for something more suitable...and while your at it, give your tank a couple more months to mature and stabilize.

FWIW, in the time I had a peppermint, not once did I see it clean anything but my rocks.

Edit: YES, YOU CAN FEED IT TOO MUCH, and probably are already. Two krill in one day is FAR too much. It should get small pieces of food no more than every other day, about the size of the eraser of a pencil.

the krill are freeze dried, i just soak them for a second at the top of the aquarium so i can attach it to my feeding prong so the anemone can reach out and yank it off(he has a strong grip) . The clown was a baby, and i think the junk I saw on him was from the anemone ...he was a false percula and im pretty sure the anemone ate him. I'll see what happens over the next few weeks before I try to add a pair of clowns i'm just worried the damn thing will eat my angel fish
