Feeding Azoo Corals

I am so excited. I'm finally branching out from sps reef tanks. I'm coming over to the dark side of reef keeping and I couldn't be happier. My dad and I have just started to set up my new 32 gallon Solana tank. I have a bunch of questions but I'll try to condense them. I'm going to do the right thing and start out with tubastrea's, dendro's, and rhizo's to get my feet wet. My questions are the feeding regime for when I start venturing into gorgonians and nps soft corals. I have been seeing that many people are feeding their corals Fauna Marin to their corals. I've been on Fauna Marin Direct to look up their food. I got very confused as what to feed. I have a vague understanding, but I could really use some help. What would you suggest for feeding the beginner lps corals and then what to feed the gorges and softies. I was planning to target feed the lps corals with mysis and the rhizos pieces of silversides. Is this adequate? I really need help understanding what to feed the others. I plan to feed Ultra Seafan, Ultra Clam, Ultra Life, and the Ultra Mins. Do I need to feed all of these at the same time. Also what is the easiest and most cost effective way to manually feed them. Any tips and/or advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks

lol you must have some deep pockets to get your feet "wet" with rhizo'S! lol. but ya peices of silversides, mysis, krill are all accepted by the dendros, suns, and rhizos(hell even a chunk of plastic will be accepted). i know people use that "somethin snow" food for NPS. but i only really got into dendros and LOVE EM! :)

Fauna's not very good at explaining themselves. With what your starting with Mysis will do you fine. When you get really going I pretty much throw it all in a jar of water, mix it up with some Phyto and feed it.

You can soak it in Ultra min D or other vitamin substitute before adding to the water but the amount depends on how many mouths you are feeding.

Have you checked out the continuous feeding thread? Lots of good info there. There are so many ways of feeding, & so many different combos of foods it will take some time to get a grip on all the options.

I think the best thing to do is, do a lot of reading, & ask as simple & direct of questions as you can. This seems to be better than asking big general questions.

I have an sps tank too, & the nps is definitely addictive but definitely worth it.

This weekend, starting today actually, Phishy's is selling rhizos for $99. I am getting ready to make a quick dash over there to get first pickin's. :fish1: Might be worth the drive if anyone is within a couple hours distance.

dutchman not sure if that post was aimed at me or CuttleKid. But link look good, just going to take some time to read all of those links. Thanks
