Feeding Bubble Coral

Used to target feed my corals, but now i have a larger tank and it just takes too much time.. now they get food from fish leftovers. I also occasionally dose salifert Coral Food and phyto/zoo plankton.

Bubble coral usually has a large enough mouth to mandate larger bits of food. I feed mine moderately sized pieces of silverside.

I feed my pearl bubble coral occasionally. It will eat small pieces of scallop and squid. I don't think that it actually requires food, though.

Every couple of weeks I take a small piece of Krill and gently tuck it ito his bubbles. He sucks it right down. A lot of people will tell you that feeding them is unecessary, but it sure is fun to watch.

I feed my bubble coral mysis shrimp with a turkey baster. I do it when the moonlights are on and the coral has its tentacles out.

I haven't fed mine in the eight years I've had it and it is as healthy as ever. Of course, it captures scraps that float by in the current.

I used to think they dont need to feed but I am convinced now they do. I saw a huge green bubble at a LFS it was growing fast and actually based itself over the rock it was put onto, very happy coral. The owner said he feeds it all the time and so I started feeding my green bubble coral and amazing it is looking so much better, I feed it thawed krill, it loves them. Do it right when the lights are going out, and the feeding tenticles of the coral come out, you have to watch the fish they can pull the krill out if they are aggressive enough.

Twice a month I feed my bubble coral either krill or small pieces of squid. Seems to grow faster than when I don't target feed at all.

I just let mine get what it can get from scraps. It's gone from about 12 bubbles to the the thing that ate New York in about a year.

I feed mine the meatiest food possible. If I'm feeling lazy, I feed it frozen mysis shrimp. But if I feel like taking the time to feed it a good meal, I'll feed it some coral mush which is just various seafood and fish food blended together with vitamins.
