Feeding Clams over 3 inches

How many of you are still feeding your clams. 3" or larger? If so, what are you feeding them and how often. I have 4 larger clams in my SPS tank, and just lost one maxima for unknown reasons. And wonder if it maybe because I have not been feeding them??

Tank is lit with 4 400 MH and 1 250 MH. Using 10K Reeflux and 14K EVS.

you should check for parasites or other things that may bother the clam. fish nipping?

I did. there were no parasites. And no fish nipping, the clam has been in my tank for 3 yrs.

Any heat issues lately with your tank?

No it has a chiiler that keeps the temp at 78.9. % other clams are in there. They are doing well so far. This had me stumped for sure.

If you have any sort of fish load in your tank and feed them, there is likely no real reason to TRY to feed your clams. They are certainly ingesting material in the tank which you are not even aware is present.
