feeding clowns

I just got two false perculas (Ned and Nora). I was wondering how everybody feeds their clowns. I am using frozen food and putting it in the water column and letting them go for it. Are there any tips to make sure they are getting enough and not wasting or filling my tank with uneaten food.

Thanks

Hi,

I do the same thing, believe me my Maroon clown is a pig a gets it's share of food. The amount of food you feed depends on your fish and coral load. What my fish don't eat the corals get some and then the hermit crabs and other inverts. I would say most of the food should be gone in a couple of minutes.

I have a oscelleris (sp?) (NEMO) clown and a tomato clown. Ive found you gotta feed em a nice variety of frozen and flakes, otherwise their colors get very dull

my tank gets a staple of hikari mysis shrimp. Everything in the tank eats it well. Clowns love it. I also use cyclopeeze from time to time. I was using golden pearls too; the largest size is best for fish.
