Feeding Cooked clams..

I went to the grocery store and looked from some clams to feed to my fish. The only thing i could find was clams that were precooked. would it still be okay to use these?

I don't think you'll have a problem. I would make sure to give them a good rinse before you use them though.

Cooking removes some of the key vitamins, etc. Most grocery stores sell live clams or mussels that you can freeze and then feed your fish.

I wouldn't use them. You have no idea what they were cooked with. Might be fine but there's no reason to chance it, it's not like they need clams. There's plenty of other things to feed them.

I buy whatever fresh fish is on sale. Is that wrong? Catfish, whitefish, squid. All fresh, and cheaper per pound than frozen. Looks cleaner when fed to the tank as well.

My saltwater tank didn't mind the scraps from dinner... (leftover salmon, trout, clams, etc)

Don't OVERthink it. Crocea clams probably taste good... ;)
