feeding flame scallops

I was told that flame scallops would only eat DT's live plankton but I put some marine snow in the tank and the scallops seem to be doing well. Is DT's the only thing scallops eat in captivity or will snow work just as well.

I'm no expert, but after doing lots of reading, the key seems to be size of food particle. Something around 40microns is the particle size lots of these filter feeds want. Many of the common food stuffs for filter feeders fit the size requirements. Marine Snow is one of the things I feed my tank. I think it works.

Just read another thread. They said 12 microns was a better size for many bivalves. Still, I think Marine Snow works fine.
