There is this premise that putting a few hunks of mysis shrimp near the orifice of an LPS coral will simply qualify as feeding. It doesn't. In fact, to properly feed any LPS coral, you must start with one of the basics - it needs to be hungry.
The coral won't come begging for food, but it will put out tentacles or sweepers that can "catch" food in the water column - or from your turkey baster, Julians Thing etc. - after the lights have gone out. Normally, if you shut the pumps off for a while and drop the lights you can induce this with a little food in the water. This isn't the end though. Scavengers, like shrimp, snails, crabs and things you never knew lived in your tank will literally steal the food from the mouth of the coral. So be prepared to play knight for a little while if need be and defend your coral.
Mysis shrimp are nice but you can easily use something like daphnia, brine shrimp or even foods like Coral Frenzy, Cyclopeeze or Reef Roids, manufactured for this very purpose. I will warn you though - feed your corals when your fish are awake and have them notice them eating may turn your LPS coral into a very expensive fish snack.
Good luck...
