feeding mushrooms

Does it do any good to spot feed mushrooms plankton. I squirt an eye dropper of plankton on my mushrooms, is that even doing anyhting? What about doing the same thing to ricordia?

I feed mine Cyclop-eeze zooplankton and I've watched them eat it. They secrete a mucus net to catch it and then slurp it back in. If the flow in your tank is too high they probably won't be able to catch it though. Try turning your powerheads/overflows/etc off first and then target feed them.

Edit:

Sweet... this was my 1,000th post... i'm officially a forum junkie :D

I never feed anything as far as mushrooms w/ the exception of ricordia. I just feel they warrant a little extra attention. Twice a week a little chunk of squid or silverside. The flow in my tank is too much for them to catch tiny stuff. I could be wrong though. At least once a week I put a cube of Sally's cyclops in the tank and turn off my return pump. The cloud of tiny shrimp is usually gone within an hour. I have mostly lps, but the shrooms may be sucking some of it up.
