Feeding problems

Hello all,

I have a convict tang who is not doing so well. He has been in my tank for about a month. He ate very well and was healthy and plump for about the first 3 weeks. About 2 weeks after adding him, I added a small clarky clown. The clown seems to eat up all of the food no matter what I do before the convict tang can get any. The convict tang is very very thin and is having trouble eating now. I have removed the clown for now, but the tang still hasn't ate much. It almost looks like he is so thin that his bottom lip has tucked in making it even harder to eat. He doesn't show any signs of disease or stress besides not eating. The water quality is good, no problems there.

Any suggestions? I'd rather keep the convict tang than the clown but the tang still isn't eating much. I don't know what to do.

All the research I have done says that the two species are comparable but the clown is somewhat aggressive.

Feed more food. The clown will get full eventually and the tang can eat. Could have an internal parasite. Needs nori as well as some meaty foods. Feed more food more often and see if that helps.

That's a very skinny fish. You don't have a lot of time to work this out.
