Just a quick question. I have a sailfin tang that I cant get to eat seaweed from a veggie clip. I am feeding flake and mysis and I have seen him picking at the algae on thr rock. Any ideas on how to entice him to eat the seaweed off a clip? Should I be concerned?

rubberband seaweed to a piece of rock. some tangs like to eat that way. soaking the seaweed in selcon might help as well. if it's eating something, i wouldn't be worried too much.

I train the ones at the LFS I work at to eat off a clip by rubbing/crumbling a small sheet of nori. small pieces go EVERYWHERE. When I have half of what I started with left in my fingers, I place it in the clip. Yes it is messy but I found it works the fastest. And most of the time I can train them to eat out of my hand, quiet the crowd pleaser, not convenient for cleaning the tank though! Lol

Also what helped me was put the Nori on the clip and just dropping the clip on the sandbed. I did this for about 2 weeks and then the 3rd week I started to put the clip on the glass and it worked.

Cool, I'll try the clip trick. I banded some seaweed to a rock this morning and he seems to be nibbling it.
