feeding small clams

Hi
Unlike others, I do not take my clams out.
I have a feeling it might stress them to move them all the time in and out of the tank to a plastic bowl .
I target feed them with the pumps off with:
Knop F
Marine Snow
Phtoplan
Zoplan
Live nanochloropsis
I'll try the Grotech food soon, I heard it's excellent.

I agree with vili_shark. Do not move them around.

I keep mine in a bowls all the time and lift the bowls out to feed. I grow my own phyto and that is all that I feed. About a tablespoon turns the water green, and it is clear in 20 minutes or so.

I personally like this method better than target. However, if you target feed right, it is plenty effective.

3-4 times a week should be enough.

I also like the target feeding method. It's quick and less disruptive the clams byssal attachment.

Reduce flow, turn off skimmer for 1 hr, syringe or turkey baster layering live phyto over clam(not directly into incurrent siphon)
Up to 25cc per clam is adequate.

I did as some suggested to me and cut the top couple of inches off a 1 liter pop bottle. I slip it over the clam and slightly into the sand bed and then inject phyto into the top with a turkey baster. Once the water inside clears up I remove the bottle and the clam looks fat and happy!
