I have a very tall seahorse tank (24x24x30 "cubish"). It seemed like a good idea at the time, but in hindsight my pair of Kudas could have been just as happy in a 60 cube, and I wouldn't have wet armpits all the time. Anyway, necessity being the mother of invention and all that, I had to come up with a way of feeding seahorses that liked to hang out at the bottom of a 30" tank, so after some experimentation I came up with my feeding stone - basically a "mysis manger" made up of a piece of rubble rock with lots of holes and some fishing line.
All I have to do to feed these guys now is pull the rock out of the tank (via the handy piece of attached fishing line), rinse as necessary to clean, squirt PE mysis into it with a turkey baster then put it in the tank. Takes about 30 seconds, so I don't mind doing it a couple of times a day. Works best with PE mysis, which just seem to stick in there until eaten (which usually doesnt take too long).
I've had these guys for almost 5 months now, through a successful breeding cycle, so it seems to be working for them.
