No, ime. I can never find it but Eric Borneman did a study saying that every head didnt need to be fed, if you search on here you can find it. My sun has way too many heads to try and feed each. I just feed a bunch but never worry that every head get some. Almost 2 years later, it has grown many new heads and is doing great.

If I use the bucket method, do I need to get the coral reacclimated to temperature before putting him in?

Yes you should. i'd say to ditch the bucket and feed under a cup inside the tank if you can. Much easier and much less stress on the coral. This is how i do mine
