Hi all,
I have a question about Feeding Torch and Hammer Corals.
I have been trying to place Mysis shrimp into their "arms". I am working under the assumption that the arms will pull the food into the middle of the head where the "mouth" seems to be located.
However, this rarely seems to happen properly. Usually the food rests on the top of the head, with a few arms curled around it. The corals release a stringy white substance, which I assume is some type of digestive enzyme, and it usually loses/releases the food after a few minutes.
I do turn off most of the flow when feeding as well, so it's not getting blow off.
Is this typical, or am I doing something wrong.
Thanks! As you can tell, I am new to these corals.
