feeding trough

here is what i did:

go to grocery store and get some of those ziploc food containers. they are the hard plastic variety with lids. then you cut the bottom off of those so it is about 2" tall. go to LFS and but a length of Lee's rigid tubing with 1" diameter or largter if you can find it. also but suction cups you would use for powerheads (they should sell them in the powerhead area and they are black)

1. hold tube where you want it to sit in dish and drill a hole through both the side of the dish and the back of the tube so it is one clean hole. place a suction cup through the holes so it hold both pieces together.

2. drill 2 or three more holes in the tube and place suction cups here too.

3. drill 3 or 4 holes around the rim of the ziploc container and insert clear straws so SH can hitch while feeding.

4. attack to side of aquarium, feed and enjoy!!

thats the hard way... the easy way...
I had a clam shell... stinking clam, but thats besides the point.

one half of the shell sits on the bottom, and I feed in there.

I got fancy when my tank broke so when I fixed it, I also siliconed the other half of the clam shell to the tank, about 8" below the waterline, so my hand won't get as wet... I feed via turkey-baster.

that idea sound nice Swanwillow. but i have a question. Do seahorse prefere moving food or they really don't care. I thought that even if the mysis are frozen they will like to go after them.

mine will eat it.... sometimes to tempt them a little more, I gently blow the turkey baster at it....

but noones starving to death, and my blenny has now learned where the food is

I use a worm feeder cone and my come to it like Pavlov's dogs. Occasionally I'll run the algae magnet by to know a few loose for them to chase, but mine don't seem to have a problem swimming to the dinner plate settling down when they are done.

i cut the bottom off a lee specimen container and sunk it halfway in the sand, then used a rigid pipe to pour food into it. Works well especially becaues of the height of sh tanks. :D
