feeding tubeworms/feather dusters

i have a feather duster that i recently purchased, people have said that in order for them to survive you need to either put a cup over them and pump that full of phytoplankton so that they can eat from a concentrated amount or use a plastic seringe to feed them directly, how is this done?

Alternative, use a small PH and blow on the sandbed and kick up some detritus and make a mini-sandstorm. Clean your sandbed at the same time as feeding filter-feeding inverts.

That is how mine are getting fed, disturb the sand and you should see them all feeding
