Feeding Your Corals

Can you please tell me your oppinion of the best"s" foods for coral feeding ?
How often would you feed a 75 gal. tank with about 30 corals?

My problem is I don't like the refrigerated foods because I am throughing half of it away cuz the product expires before it is used up.

I target feed my acan's & blsto's with frozen mysis shrimp, you can buy them in cubes. With the acan's it's best to catch them just after the lights go out when the tentacles come out. Blasto's you can do anytime, just make sure to be gentle, I hold the baster right above them and let the mysis fall out. Once it hits the skirt it will close up around it.

Not sure about SPS (Above and beyond me).

I do have a frozen food from Sho-Tank, it's called Red Reef Food. It's cyclopzees, rotifers, zooplankton, phytoplankton, copeopods, Golden Pearls, oysters, mussels, shrimp, squid, tuna, fish roe, scallops, red snapper, brine shrimp eggs, crabmeat, krill, mysis, nori, selco & garlic all tossed in a blender and frozen in a packet. I just break a little bit off once a week and let it thaw in a little cup of tank water.
It's made as a whole tank food. $20 for a frozen ziplock bag full of it. If you (or anyone else) want to try it I'll give you some. I doubt I'll ever use all of mine.

WOW, that food sounds great it has everything. I like the idea of frozen cubes. the packs always get ices up and I dont like that.
Have you ever tried black powder, or coral frenzy?

I have a bottle of coral frenzy. I think it's just phytoplankton, haven't really used it since I got the all in one. If you want to try that I can hook you up with it to (unless you already have it).

SHO-TANK huh? I think I will try locate something like the red reef food that has everything.. Now do you just thaw that and add it to your tank?
You just target the frozen mysis right?

Yeah just target feed mysis, but I do feed the tank with the Red Reef food using the baster as well. I turn off the powerhead and use the baster to spread the food around otherwise it never makes it to the bottom of the tank, the fish attack the Red Reef food :)

A similar product is called Rods food (www.rods-reef.com) but I know 1 person who isn't a fan of it :)

can't please everyone....lol well the red reef is loaded with what I would be looking for. I will start basting I guess mysis first. I have alot to feed though. how often would you target feed?
I was feeding every 3-4 days .

Yeah twice a week for the blasto's and acans is what I do.

No clue about SPS, hopefully someone else can chime in with a good product and tips.

Are you talking about me?

My favorite mix is: mysis, a little cyclopeze, a little selcon, & a little kent garlic extract. I feed the whole tank fish/corals this mix.

Phyto feast: That's what happens when I clean the glass.

No, I was thinking about someone else. Prugs has an awesome setup and amazing corals, I'd follow his advice to a T.

I'm not big on adding algae to my tank personaly.
Other refrigerated products go bad before I use them up.
So thanks for the advice.. I still kinda think a variety is good.

well i tried using this product which is made from reef nutrition, knowing what kind of corals i have in my tank it seems that everyone seems to love em. use only these three, Phyto-Feast Live, roti-feast and arcti-Pods. i dose all this twice a week for the recommended dose and wow they all expand out reaching for the sky!!
