feeling frisky

I am seeing so much prespawning behavior but no eggs as of yet from these fellas. Hopefully soon though! They are going crazy today cleaning and loving on each other.

Here is a quick video.

Tell me what you think...

He is fertilizing bare rock in that video. My camera does not focus well on the tank so it is very hard to see. Every now and then, the female will make passes like she is laying eggs, but nothing as of yet.

that is some voratious pre spawning! clowns are weird. My clowns eggs hatched yesterday, and today they are cleaning agian to the point of white lips.

I know one thing, my female turns into a FREAK the day before and day of egg laying. throws things, digs holes, chases the fish, makes her male kiss her sides, a real freak lol

They do this on occasion but I haven't seen any eggs as of yet. The rock that is in the tank is virtually impossible to see eggs on, but I watch the male closely and have not seen him caring for any eggs. They both have gone through another growth spurt and are going on 2 and a half years of age so one day soon, I should see some eggs hopefully.

I have tried everything to get the three BTA's off of the rock to remove it, with no luck. They are firmly planted deep inside crevices and nothing I am doing is getting them to move. It is very frustrating :(

why do you want to remove them?

I have a few btas. it doesent change anything as far as breeding goes. the biggest sign (if you dont see eggs) is you wont see your male either, he'll be busy all day long fanning. mine wont eat unless the food is very cloe to him.

It is extremely hard to keep up the water quality in a small tank with three anemones and two fish that are fed very heavy, lol. I just want to leave the females BTA in the tank and relocate the splits to one of my other tanks now. Plus the female is being extremely rough with the split RBTA and both halves are too small for her and they are starting to deflate more than I like. I know that if I do not move them, they are doomed. The GBTA is a good 6+ inches across now so it isn't bothered by them hosting whatsoever.
